Chris Hopkinson, design manager at B&K Structures, sees a bright future for timber in long-span structures, particularly for glulam.

With the increased focus on sustainability and the environment very much on the radar, it is only natural that clients will look at building structures with far greater 'green credentials' than those currently being constructed for large scale retail stores.
