Construction product manufacturers continued to experience increasing sales during Q4. 5% of heavy side manufacturers reported that sales had increased compared to Q3, although this was the lowest balance in 11 quarters. On the light side, 38% of manufacturers reported that sales were higher than the previous three months. The balance for light side firms was higher than 29% reported in Q3. On an annual basis, 29% of heavy side firms reported that sales in Q4 had increased. On the light side, 23% of firms reported that sales were higher than a year earlier, which is the lowest balance since 2013 Q2.
