Growth in the construction industry was reported across the supply chain in the fourth quarter of 2015, according to the Construction Trade Survey. This marks the eleventh straight quarter of increased activity experienced by main contractors, SME builders and product manufacturers, and the tenth for civil engineers. This follows the ONS official data for the construction industry, which showed output declined 0.4% in quarterly terms in Q4, but rose 0.4% compared to the same quarter in 2014. Forward-looking indicators for orders and enquiries in the Construction Trade Survey present a more mixed outlook for the next quarter and the rest of 2016.
