Wood in fire, flame spread and flame retardant treatments - July 1981

When wood and tire are mentioned in the same sentence we connect them at first with other inbuilt concepts like kindling wood, yule log fires and the spread of The Great Fire of London in 1666 among the wooden buildings. An increasing amount of timber is being used in buildings as timber framed dwellings and timber cladding both internally and externally.
